New Meds

I received a pamphlet in the mail the other day from the Young Parkinson’s Disease Association. There were several short articles in it, but the one that intrigued me most was about a new medication that is to be released within the next couple of months in the U.S. I don’t recall the name of the drug, but it comes in a “patch” to be applied once a day. No more having to swallow a bunch of pills three and four times a day.

  1. If I remember correctly, there’s a dopamine agonist and a Sinemet patch, both predicted to become available this year.

I’ve been on Requip and Sinemet before, but stopped due to stomach problems. So I’m looking forward to the patch, too!
